Benji Crane picked up a violin at the age of 7 and spent his childhood classically trained before trading the Bach and Mozart for open mics and bar gigs, folding that same ear for melody into easy-listening acoustic pop built around guitar, violin, and a voice that sounds like a spoonful of honey melting in a warm cup of herbal tea.

Benji produces most of his own music, working with a small, trusted crew of friends and Toronto-based mixing and mastering engineers he's built relationships with, over years of independent releases.

He's played rooms across the city including The Burdock and The Horseshoe Tavern, was featured at NXNE, and through a partnership with Blaisy Records has spent summers busking, gigging, and touring through France.

None of it happens without the day job. Most nights, Benji Crane is the guy playing bar rooms, cocktail hours, weddings, and corporate events across the GTA, a full-time working musician whose live sets run from the Beatles to the Bee Gees, to John Mayer and Glen Campbell, the same artists who shaped his own writing. It's the gig that funds the studio time.
